A Royal Supper Club
Two stars of the foodie world joined forces this summer to give Londoners a memorable, one-off dining experience. Jersey Royals, the most coveted potato in the UK, and iconic food personality Kerstin Rodgers, aka Ms Marmite Lover and founder of the supper club movement, came together to show that Jersey Royals aren’t just any old new potato.
Kerstin cooked up a supper club storm at her home in Kilburn, creating dishes based on a trip to Jersey several weeks earlier as inspiration. Jersey Royals really were the star of the evening, used as the main ingredient in dishes such as Jersey Royal canapés (baked in an Aga and filled with crème fraiche and chilli flavoured roe) and lemon sole with boiled Jersey Royals served with Jersey butter three ways (mint, caper and rosemary).
